Just a little note to say that I've posted my first three contributions to the collective blog Found Objects. This blog takes it's name from Derrida's concept of 'hauntology' which many music writers have linked to recent developments in British music such as the work of artists on the Ghost Box label and others.
I probably come to hauntology less from the theoretical angle, more from a shared interest in a lot of these influences. With the chance to post on horror films, Delia Derbyshire (pictured above), Arthur Machen and Modernist architecture - I'm enjoying it so far! All of the other contributions are really intersting and I think they all come together to create a really interesting document.
Here's my little miniature archive of my posts - but do check out all the other contributions.

Ooh, this sounds really interesting - woman, I need more free time to check out all of the stuff out there...getting swamped in my tiny-existence-ness lately!
Good on you for contributing and getting involved with new stuff. Very excited for you.
Thanks, Rachel!
I've been really interested in hauntology (though as I say I actually haven't read Derrida on the subject yet - more the recent writers) and the music, films etc that inspired/are inspired by it so I was really excited to receive the invite from Joseph to contribute to this blog.
... and you're one of the most consistently interesting posters. Anyone who puts up anything to do with The Legend Of Hell House has my undying respect. By the way, have you seen The Watcher In The Woods? A 1980 Disney film directed by the very same fellow. Very good, very eerie :-)
Thanks Joe! I do try. I just tend to post things that interest me which I think fit in with the general aesthetic and idea of the blog.
I haven't seen The Watcher in the Woods, sounds very interesting. Creepy and Disney sounds like a good combination :)
